Abstract

Based on official documents reporting censorship from 1920 to 1970, our goal is to present the studies on censorship in the theatrical performances of non-professional theater groups in the city of São Paulo. These documents are located at the Miroel Silveira Archive, University of São Paulo’s School of Arts and Communication library, making the collection of documents studied by the Research Center on Communication and Censorship, with the support of Fapesp, São Paulo state agency sponsoring research.
