The following article is a chronology of events around in the focal phenomenon of the “Arab Spring” covering the whole year 2014. Thus, the present document is a compilation of facts and events in the several countries affected to a greater or lesser extent by the protests and revolts initiated in 2010. It also helps to analyse some of the dynamics and developments in the conflict. Specifically, it shows that, in most of the countries affected, there has been a crystallization of the efforts invested by the contra-revolutionary powers and forces to get back to the presumed initial status quo. Similarly, the article gives us a glimpse of the different strategies followed in order to bring the revolutionary efforts to collapse: civil wars, nearly failed states, repression, and the irruption of jihadist groups such as Islamic State.
