Abstract

In 2014, Latin America re-enters a period of political and social uncertainty that has climbed at an accelerated pace. In order to study this phenomenon, it is necessary an understanding of the current historical process out of the tensions that produce the variants of integration still dependent on each of the national context as part of the global capitalist scene. Rather than representing a mechanical homogenization, the local mutations relate to the physiognomy adopted by the hegemonic alliances and by the conflict between different social forces in order to shape state action. From this perspective, it is acknowledged a rising political crisis and the extreme difficulty of governments to contain social movements. For now, there are not clear hints on the solution of the ongoing political crisis. However, the citizenry does not still lean for alternative political options.
