In this balance of the year 2020, I analyze, from the region of La Araucanía, in Wallmapu, the development of the main social conflicts that were observed. I begin this analysis by giving an account of the protest and social mobilization events that respond to systemic racism, such as the long hunger strike held by several Mapuche political prisoners, the boycott of the forestry sector, the protest over electrical infrastructure projects, as well as the occupation of land. Then I give an account of the continuity of the social mobilization of an urban nature that is expressed after the Social Outbreak with the massive protests, but that continues in the existence of several communal assemblies and that later transits to various articulations that participate in the constituent electoral moment both from Mapuche representatives and the organized sectors of the Chilean citizenry. The final reflections present some of the challenges around these articulations, in view of the decolonization of the State and of politics.
