Code of good practices on gender equality

The journal is committed to the defense of gender equality, the visibility of the scientific work of women researchers, and the promotion of the use of inclusive language in scientific publications. This commitment is carried out through the following actions:

Maintain gender equity in the Direction, Editorial Secretariat, Editorial Board, and Advisory Board of the journal.

To have a minimum percentage of 40% of female reviewers.

Include in the journal's Editorial Policy a series of specific recommendations in favor of the use of inclusive language in scientific publications. Inclusive language recognizes diversity, is respectful of people, considers differences, and promotes equal opportunities for all. Articles should not include assumptions about readers' beliefs and should avoid claims of superiority about race, gender, culture, or any other similar aspect. Bias-free language, using terms that avoid stereotypes, should be used when writing an article. In that regard, authors are encouraged to read any guide on bias-free language such as the APA online guide (https://www.ehu.eus/documents/1738121/1797626/Estilo+APA-+Annex+1-Inclusive+Language.pdf/98fead1a-1396-7103-43cf-248189d3b814?t=161414332453482).

Require authors to report whether or not the research data take sex and/or gender into account, intending to identify any differences that may result.

Use the full names of the authors in the works published by the journal.
