This paper aims to document and reveal the relationship between railway and industrial land in an average regional capital such as the city of Valladolid. To this end, the period covering the first century of existence of this means of transport and the initial industrialization of the area is followed; a time when both sectors were largely linked to coal, approximately between 1850 and 1950. Moreover, attempts are made to quantify and evaluate the back and forth linkages of the railroad with other activities.Downloads
