Revista de Historia Industrial-Industrial History Review, new issue: vol 34, no 93

Dear colleagues,

The Editorial Board of Revista de Historia Industrial–Industrial History Review (RHI–IHR) is pleased to announce the publication of Volume 34, Issue 93 (March 2025). This issue features a diverse collection of articles examining industrial history across the 19th and 20th centuries, covering various regions and topics. It includes a reassessment of Chile’s industrial performance, an analysis of the relationship between nuclear energy and industrial promotion in Argentina, a study on the resilience of the Spanish aircraft manufacturer CASA, an examination of business networks and groups in the Basque Country, and an investigation into the takeover of a telephone network company in the Canary Islands. Additionally, the issue includes reviews of five books. We hope this edition of RHI–IHR is of interest to you.

We are delighted to announce that the latest issue of Revista de Historia Industrial-Industrial History Review (Vol. 33, No. 91, July 2024) is already out.

The current issue explores guilds, collective action, and social capital through a case study in the 18th-century Northern Iberian region of Navarre; recycling and reusing during wartime, focusing on the Spanish Civil War; and business strategies for internationalisation, wages, and the labour market under dictatorships, specifically during the Franco regime in Spain (https://revistes.ub.edu/index.php/HistoriaIndustrial/issue/view/3027)

Founded in 1992, Revista de Historia Industrial – Industrial History Review (RHI-IHR) is a pioneering journal indexed in the most prestigious international databases. It promotes historical research into the processes of industrialization and the social, economic, institutional, environmental, and demographic transformations associated with them. With a global scope and an inclination toward methodological diversity, RHI-IHR publishes original papers in English and Spanish in three regular issues each year.

The Editorial Board of Revista de Historia Industrial – Industrial History Review (RHI–IHR) is delighted to announce that volume 33, number 90 (March 2024) has been already published. This issue deals with industrialization in post-colonial Algeria, as well as energy, manufacturing, and firms in 19th- and 20th-century Spain. The latter includes autarkic military industrialization, the energy transition to natural gas, the spread of nuclear energy projects, and technological and corporate innovation in specialised metallurgy. We hope it is of interest to you.

RHI-IHR Online Workshop "New Perspectives on African Economic History" Programme

The Revista de Historia Industrial-Industrial History Review would like to invite you to the “New perspectives on African Economic History” online workshop. The workshop is launched by the Revista de Historia Industrial–Industrial History Review (@rhi_ihr) and is organized by Kate Frederick, Dácil Juif and Felix Meier zu Selhausen. It will be held on June 28, 2023.

The aim of the workshop is to discuss current state of the art research in African economic history. In particular, the workshop brings together original contributions covering a broad geographical scope and including the topics of structural transformation, trade and investments, human capital development, living standards and inequality, colonial extraction and investment.

Advancing the understanding of industrialization processes

CALL FOR PAPERS — FAST TRACK REVIEW

A new course for the Revista de Historia Industrial – Industrial History Review (RHI-IHR) is starting. The incoming Editorial Board aims to promote fresh research covering industrialization and its causes and consequences across various countries and periods. It also attempts to foster methodological diversity. With this in mind, the Editors of the RHI-IHR invite submissions to the journal to be subject to a fast-track review process.
