The financial territorialities in Brazil: analysis of one decade of changes and permance (1993-2003)

Abstract

This text analyzes the process of redefinition of the territorialities of the banking capital during the occured financial reorganization in the Nineties in Brazil and its relative stabilization in the beginning of the first decade of Century XXI. It is verified that the new configuration of the forces of the agents of the banking capital in Brazil is fruit of the denationalization conservative who involved a billionaire public program of permissive insolvency to the banking and socialization of its damages, of refined tactical mercantile of survival developed by parcel of the banking elite in operation in the country, of the subordinate reduction of the performance of the public banks and the correspondent growth of the participation of nets global financiers in the market Brazilian.
