Abstract

The Geography discipline is capable of forming people into citizen action and therefore requires the training of their teachers. This belief promoted investigation focused on this aspect of training, of which the results are discussed in this article. The project discusses the potentiating formative strategies of the UFG Education Geography professor’s upbringing inclined to act in civic practices. Under the groundwork of collaborative research, which is conceived as a set of co-production of knowledge and training activities, it has been developed procedures for collecting and producing data in curriculum documents, as well as questionnaires to Geography Internship students and practices implemented in schools of Basic Education aimed at civic upbringing.
