Abstract

Tourism has been analyzed essentially and traditionally from structural perspectives, typical of a certain geographical gaze. However, two kinds of processes force to review this dominant orientation: the very transformations of the touristic processes, and the new gaze of the human Geography, associated to the cultural turn. This essay will then try to make emphasis on this new gaze, this constellation of changes that provokes to pass from a tourism seen as an economic process structuring the territory, to a process that builds space from an individual perspective and his socio-spatial interactions.
