Abstract

The migrations in the globalization context are related with a paradoxical issue: on one hand, the financial capital does not find any obstacles in its expansion, on the other hand, migratory flows are restricted as never before. These facts determine the circulation of immigrant women by denying the capacity of social agency of their migratory strategies. Despite of that, the current situation presents a chiaroscuro panorama where the situations of exploitation are mixed with the empowerment of immigrants women, inverting their position into the making-decisions process inside the domestic group, the kinship, and the gender relationships. At the same time, the hegemony of receiving countries is consolidated, provoking a "new colonialism" that is based on the trasnationalisation of labour and the reproductive tasks.
