Industry and city: the old factories in urban processes

Abstract

The relations industry - city have experienced a deep change after the processes of restructuring of the mature or traditional industries, which disappear of the urban central areas, but they leave ruins and left buildings that acquire the category, in certain cases, of monument and good of cultural interest. In addition, the old factories are a valuable resource in the urban strategies and in the urban planning. This way it is a question of demonstrating taking León's city as an example.
