Abstract

Quan sentim parlar de l’antropologia tots pensem en excavacions amb restes humanes, en experts analitzant els fòssils en un laboratori, en la imatge d’un occidental vivint amb una tribu de l’Amazones o la d’algú que tracta de descriure una llengua que només es parla en un petit llogaret de Papua Nova Guinea. Això no és del tot cert, però podrien ser representacions vàlides d’una realitat summament major i més complexa. Però llavors, què és realment l’antropologia? Per a què serveix? A quins reptes ha d’enfrontar-se en l’era moderna?
