This article analyzes the main events of the year 2021 related to the Mapuche people from a social listening methodology. Based on more than three million mentions extracted from Twitter and Internet press sites, a narrative was constructed that seeks to chronologically represent what this year was like for the Mapuche communities, in the context of the arrival of their representatives to political power and the ongoing conflict with the State of Chile, which continued its escalation of violence. Through the data collected in social networks, we seek to present the contrasting narratives that we found throughout the year studied.
