The scientific output in the field of publishing and reading habits in Catalonia has continued the positive trends of previous years. In addition to the annual statistics (either prepared directly or commissioned by government offices and stakeholders in the sector), it is worth stressing the output of research groups and centres in Catalonia. Particularly noteworthy is the number of PhD theses read at Catalan universities in 2018 that focus on the publishing sector or reading habits, especially among children and adolescents. We underline the importance of these studies in helping both public and private stakeholders to make informed decisions.Downloads
