In 2018-2019, a change in the public library model in Catalonia was progressively introduced, based on the creation of knowledge and citizen-driven innovation. Programmes of exploration and experimentation, citizen participation, and technology are the key features of this model. This paper describes a selection of the activities and services offered in Catalan public libraries, particularly in relation to the promotion of reading. Talks by experts, meetings, awards, research studies, and the most important publications published during this two-year period are also included.Downloads
