In this edition of the Anuari, we analyse the role that libraries and heritage centres have played during the COVID-19 pandemic, which, even more than in previous periods, has placed people firmly in the spotlight. Our analysis of the activities carried out shows that libraries have launched multiple projects and have offered access to their collections while at the same time increasing their presence on the Internet. Many library websites have been updated to allow access to digital libraries, creating and disseminating new content and supporting the publication of materials ranging from scientific articles to documentaries and other audiovisual products. Finally, the presence of libraries and heritage centres on social networks and in cross-cutting projects has increased notably during this period and is now becoming well consolidated.
