About the Journal

Boletín Americanista is a scientific journal published by Scientific Journals of the University of Barcelona (RCUB) and Editions UB. Since 1959 is a forum for discussion of the history of America, aimed at disseminating academic productions for a specialised audience. Since 2010 it has been published biannually. It aims to facilitate interdisciplinary discussion about the past and present of American countries. They accommodate research on the pre-Columbian past, the colonial history as well as the contemporary and current history of the American republics, without excluding social, political, economic, and cultural topics. The magazine also accepts articles that draw comparisons with other geographical areas but the American perspective.
