Resum

This article explores the diagnostics of the impact of the end of the Colonial Empire over the spanish economy made by contemporary economists. It analyzes the mechanisms used for the war finance, the augment of public debt, the inflation, the externa1 deficit, the monetary depreciation and the after war reconstruction. It describes the controversy between french inspired monetary theories and those others that emphasize preferably the real sector of the economy The global balance shows un elevate degree of coincidence about the consideration that economic crisis was feeble and short and that posterior recuperation was so muck intense.
