Abortion is analyzed as a social good. This article considers the different views society has regarding abortion and its regulation. The positions of different social actors are criticized, when related to the view of the Catholic Church or pro-life positions, for social actors should not be influenced by their personal beliefs but by the requirements of public policy and people’s needs. The need of de-penalizing abortion is defended based on public health and women´s dignity.Downloads
