About the Journal
Founded in 1978 by Dr. Emili Giralt i Raventós, with the aim of embracing what was then a new discipline, the agrarian history. Nowadays, the journal welcomes all kinds of original articles on any aspect related to the rural world (society, culture, demography, material world, family, engineering, etc.) from medieval to contemporary times. The aim is to publicize the history of the rural world and is aimed at an audience that does academic research and scholars of the rural world.
In each issue, the journal includes some articles of a specific theme as a dossier and another section with articles on a free thematic. The topics of the dossier are announced in advance so that interested authors can submit their proposals for evaluation.
