Crops and the social Distribution of the land among the holders of Reus and its term from the estimas of 1445 and 1541

From the accounting of the lands and other rural assets written down in two books of ‘estimes’, a radiography is made of the different types of cultivations in the old term of Reus between the two chronological references. Showing up next, the distribution of rural wealth between the inhabitants of the town and its term is analyzed from a comparative point of view too. The results obtained, in spite of responding to a quite continuistic picture, serve to testify to some changes between the 15th and 16th centuries, in accordance with the socioeconomic development of the locality in question.
