How land was distributed among peasant families after the ‘reconquest’ of the Kingdom of Valencia from the Muslims has been one of the main questions for researchers of Valencian agrarian history. This paper seeks, firstly, to analyse this issue focusing on a specific part of the L’Horta de Valencia area, located in the manor of Torrent, by using various techniques from what is known as agrarian archaeology. Secondly, the evolution of the structure of the land is analysed, comparing archaeological data to those obtained from written sources, through statistical methods.Downloads
