Abstract

This text follows the path of coopers Catalan associations and mobilization during the period from 1871 to 1887. Intend to go beyond a mere description of the organizational evolution of the coopers trade union to enter into the economic, social and cultural sector that affect their sociability and their mobilization. The fonts used in this work are basically two: the documents generated by the Federation of coopers and barrel makers and local sections of the press of the time reflecting the associative activity and mobilization of coopers.
