The vegetal pitch. Peasant production and pluriactivity

Abstract

From prehistoric times, until yet not 40 years ago, the man has manufactured derivatives of the vegetal resins for several applications, that they go from its use as agglutinated universal until ingredients of pharmacy products. That the classical authors named liquid pitch and thick pitch, and that we say tar and pitch, it had a great diffusion, until the recent arrival of the derivatives of the oil. The techniques for its obtaining have kept unchangeable along the centuries. In our country, even though about a family and preindustrial basis, the manufacture and consumption of pitch it had a great importance it points living material witnesses stay.
