The implementation of the Spanish liberal law in the XIX century meant a breach of the institutions and the connection apparatus of the Old Regime community system in the Pyrenees. Due to this, co-integration solutions were carried out which enabled the rural community to adapt to the different measures. Yet, despite all this, the consolidation of the liberal-oriented property rights caused the disappearance of the access apparatus to the resource which were the cornerstone to reproducing institutions and to the recovery of villages in time of crisis.
