This article is aimed at showing a teaching proposal for the tertiary level based on the analysis of primary audiovisual sources from the Cold War. To do so, it will be focused on analyzing the two film versions of The Fly (1958 and 1986, respectively) in order to understand technophobia and fear from a historical perspective. The aim is to extend the use of these resources to film genres that have traditionally been discarded for their low quality or for being considered too far away from the context to be taught.
