Abstract

This article presents a review on applied neuroscience in education in Costa Rica based on a consultation with researchers linked to this field. In a first section it refers to the origins of neuroscience applied to education. Then addresses current initiatives on the application of neuroscience to education. It subsequently identifies obstacles to the application of neuroscience to education. Then points to opportunities from neuroscience applied to education. Finally, it proposes recommendations for the advancement of neuroscience applied to education.
