CIL II2/7, 99 (Porcuna). Modelo para un falso bético esculpido en mármol

El artículo analiza una estela romana falsa salida a subasta en 2012. Se trata de una lápida funeraria cuyo texto fue elaborado a partir del epígrafe perdido CIL II2/7, 99 (Porcuna), transmitido por tradición manuscrita a partir de los manuscritos de Juan Fernández Franco. La similitud de fábrica con la de otro falso denunciado anteriormente por los autores (Carbonell y Gimeno 2011) sugiere la existencia de algún taller de reproducciones que podría haber estado en activo en algún lugar de la Andalucía Oriental en las primeras décadas del siglo XX.
