Los reyes africanos (númidas y moros)

La existencia de reyes entre los pueblos norteafricanos de la antigüedad es mencionada de forma continua por parte de los textos de la antigüedad. Cartago debió tratar con ellos en numerosas ocasiones, como más adelante lo hizo Roma. La historiografía contemporánea ha atribuido características permanentes a dicha institución monárquica. Por el contrario, el análisis que realizamos muestra, por un lado, la diferencia de valor en los propios textos antiguos que mencionan a esos reyes, así como algunas disparidades en sus propias características.
