The occasion of the seventh centenary anniversary of the death of Ramon Llull was a moment for a renew and consideration on his life and his profile, in order to catch his undeniable features of modernity and contemporary. The Mediterranean sea, his domain of circulation, is today the center of attentions with the southern and eastern flanks of our borders under constant human surveillance and there is the corresponding need to review his footsteps and his initiatives, which were themselves intense, to better grasp both his contemplative attitude and as a man of action while also duly recognizing his creative and innovative sides, which proved simultaneously imaginative and welcoming, without ever overlooking his courage dedicated to service of the faith in mode of alterity for a conviviality of religions and cultures as instances for renewing and deepening own personal practices open to divine revelation.
