We are living in a complex and destabilizing moment in the sociocultural and economic spheres. This context reveals the urgency of promoting research in the social sciences and humanities that fosters social cohesion and more just, community-oriented horizons.

In the third monographic issue of the journal Enseñanza de las Ciencias Sociales, we explore how cultural heritage—acknowledging its identity dimension and the intersectionality that shapes it—can contribute to understanding a more egalitarian and equitable world, without ceasing to be diverse. We also analyze the teacher-training strategies that facilitate this educational approach.

In this issue, we aim to highlight research proposals and experiences that, from diverse socio-educational, heritage-based, dialogic, participatory, and/or multi-agent perspectives, explore key strategies for creating re-significations and new critical, sensitive, and shared narratives. We seek contributions that, from different approaches and educational levels, contribute to the construction of more inclusive didactic action, connected to the diverse realities of the territory and to the educational curriculum.
