La regulación de la eutanasia y el derecho a la muerte con dignidad en el Perú a propósito del caso de Ana Estrada

El presente artículo analiza la eutanasia desde la percepción del caso peruano que tiene como protagonista a la ciudadana Ana Estrada. Primero se realiza una introducción de la problemática en torno al tema. Luego pasaremos a comentar el caso de Ana Estrada y su lucha por lograr la declaración de su muerte con dignidad. Posteriormente, describiremos el derecho a la vida y el derecho a la muerte. Seguidamente, procederemos a describir la relación existente entre la eutanasia con el derecho a la libertad. Más adelante, identificamos la sanción penal que establece el Perú para la eutanasia y finalmente, explicaremos los protocolos médicos para practicar la eutanasia. Se utilizó el método de revisión de literatura, el cual permitió identificar los documentos pertinentes con el tema de investigación. Se consideró como bases de datos a Scopus, la cual fue seleccionada por la importancia que representa en la comunidad científica. Se concluyó que la muerte con dignidad es un derecho reconocido desde la jurisprudencia y que es debatible en el marco de la protección derivada en un Estado democrático.
