EDITORIAL LINES

I. The process of European convergence in matters of Higher Education and the construction of a global university: essays on the nature and impact of the process of European convergence in matters of university studies, mobility and internationalization, the European and international academic programs available to students and their convertibility, etc.

II. The function and structure of Higher Education and the vocational orientation of graduates: essays on the design and content of legal studies, the impact of legal education on the employability and professional inclusion of graduates, the relationship between professional practice and academic qualifications, the social role of universities and legal studies, etc.

III. Learning methodologies and strategies: essays on techniques, methodologies, strategies and tools for teaching and learning law.

1. Rules for presentation of originals

1.1 Languages

The Journal of Education and Law accepts all languages. However, the title, keywords and summary must always be included in Spanish, English and Catalan.

1.2. Authorship data.
Contributions to the Journal of Education and Law must contain the following points:
• First name and two surnames (if applicable)
• Academic degree and/or professional situation of the author(s) (updated)
• Full name of the Center/Department/Institution to which the authors/Country belong.
• Email address of the authors

**Note: for the purposes of sending articles to the Editorial Committee, the name, postal address, telephone number and email address of the author designated as responsible for correspondence about the article must be included.**

1.2. Header.
The first page of the article must contain the following aspects and in the aforementioned order:
• Title of the work, in Spanish and English
• Name of the author(s) according to authorship data (see section 1.1)
• Summary of the article* in Spanish (size not exceeding 20 lines)
• Keywords (5 to 10 lexemes or descriptors)
• Summary of the article in English (abstract)

To the extent possible, it should be structured as follows:

Introduction (which includes the object or purpose of the research)
Methodology and basic procedures used (design, selection of methods and experimentation or analysis techniques)
Results (qualitative and quantitative, if applicable)
Conclusions and inferences.

• Keywords in Spanish, English (Key Words) and Catalan (Paraules Clau). The aforementioned aspects will be published both in paper and electronic format.

1.3. Font

The original texts will be written in DIN-A 4, on one side only and in Times New Roman font, with font size 12 Cpi and interlinear spacing of 1.5.

Footnotes will be included in Times New Roman font size 10 Cpi with single interlinear spacing.

1.4. Extension

In the case of research and studies, the length should not exceed 20 pages, written according to the font and spacing provided in the section.

In the case of educational experiences, the length will not exceed 15 pages unless the characteristics and relevance of the teaching experience make it advisable to exceed this length.

1.5. Graphs, charts and tables.

Charts and tables will be listed consecutively depending on the type of media (table, graph, etc.), including those that provide significant information about the study, research or teaching experience.

1.6. Names, symbols and nomenclature.

The use of nomenclatures and symbols will be avoided as far as possible, except for those in international use and those standardized in each discipline.

If its use is necessary, the first time the term is cited, the nomenclature will be included in parentheses.

1.7. Presentation of originals.

To be accepted in the Journal of Education and Law, the originals submitted must meet the originality requirement, meaning that the article has not been previously published in other journals.

The works must be sent through the same platform of the Magazine. To do this, it will be necessary for the author to register previously. (If you have any questions or clarifications about the procedure, we provide the following link).

Format: originals can be sent in Word (preferred) or PDF.

1.8 Motivated communication.

On the part of the management of the Revista Educación y Derecho, assumed by the director of its editorial board, there is an express commitment to respond to requests for the publication of articles that reach the editorial office of the magazine.

1.9 Publication rules regarding writing

The Criteria of the University of Barcelona must be followed when writing the texts. See at: https://www.ub.edu/cub/criteris.php. These criteria can be followed in their entirety or in specific aspects, in the different languages in which they are available (Catalan, Spanish or English).

 

2. Instructions for preparing bibliographic references

2.1. Textual quotes or specific bibliographical references.

They will follow the order (APA References), distinguishing between articles and books.

The so-called APA format references or requirements consist of style standards established in the Style Manual:

Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA). 7th. Washington: APA, 2020. These standards can be consulted on the website: www.apastyle.org

2.2 Footnote citations.

If applicable, they will be noted in the text with consecutive numbering in the superscript. Preferably the content of the footnote citation should be explanatory notes. In the case of bibliographic references, they are included in the text following the following scheme:

Author, year of publication and page, developing the full citation in the bibliographic references or indexed bibliography at the end of the article. Ex.(SCHNEIDER, 1993, 38)

2. 3. Bibliographic references or bibliography.

At the end of the article a compilation of bibliographic references will be included, arranged alphabetically by the author's first surname. Citations must conform to the APA style manual cited above.

**IMPORTANT: It is an essential requirement to incorporate in the work, the citation of 50% of articles from journals indexed in JCR, SCOPUS or Scielo.**
