El 12 de abril de 1961, Yuri Alekséyevich Gagarin, a las 6,07 de la mañana, hora solar universal, fue lanzado en el espacio exterior a bordo de la nave Vostok 1. A los 27 años, Gagarin fue el primer ser humano de conquistar el Cielo, verlo y viajar más allá de la atmósfera.
