“¿Con qué palabras podríamos dar vida a un nuevo sueño colectivo?”. Esta es la frase que lee el protagonista del film El paso suspendido de la cigüeña (1991), de Theo Angelopoulos, en una de sus escenas. La sentencia pertenece al libro escrito por un político griego -otro protagonista de la cinta-, desaparecido voluntariamente sin dejar ni rastro en el momento que gozaba de mayor popularidad. Esa pregunta, al igual que la desaparición política, revela una carencia general de idearios y utopías.
