The Flemish Network for Service-Learning in Higher Education. Bringing higher education institutions in the Flanders region together on service-learning and community engagement

The Flemish Network for Service-Learning in Higher Education brings together higher education institutions from the Flemish region in Belgium. The network is coordinated by the University Centre Saint-Ignatius Antwerp and aims to promote and advance the service-learning pedagogy in Flemish higher education. This contribution describes the history of the network, its goals and partners involved, the activities undertaken by the network and its partner institutions, and the steps that are taken to move ahead in the further development of a Flemish service-learning network.
