This paper discussed the trajectories followed by three educational centres —the Eduard Fontseré Secondary School, the Solc Nou vocational training centre and the Xaloc Special Needs School— in order to offer all their students at least one service-learning experience every academic year. In all three cases, mass implementation of the service-learning methodology has led to profound changes in their centres, which have allowed them to improve their academic results and increase teacher satisfaction. Using ethnographic methods —interviews, observation and analysis of documentation— this paper discusses the key elements that are involved in successful implementation of service-learning for all students in educational centres.
