This paper presents the service-learning experience that was carried out during the 2013-14 school year, in the Early Childhood Education degree program at the Universitat Jaume I. The students were responsible for planning and conducting lessons for disabled children that included games to work on motor skills and body language. The aim was to test the impact of the implementation of the service-learning program on university students, both academically and personally. To do this, we developed and validated two instruments of quantitative measurement, a rubric and a questionnaire. Furthermore, the research was complemented by a qualitative study using Life Histories.Downloads
