Abstract

In this paper, I shall point to resemblances and differences between the fundamental categories used by Heidegger and Zambrano to justify their claim to the effect that the connection between poiesis and logos is the only way to recover a Being which has been forgotten in and by Western Metaphysics, and thus save the original essence of philosophical thought. In the final part, I assess the new metaphysics developed by each of the two philosophers relative to a humanism which does not lose sight of the social and spiritual reality of the individual.
