Abstract

According to María Zambrano’s work, the island temporality behaves in a distinctive way when contras- ted to the pass of time in continents. The ideas that will serve as aid to define this concept can be traced back to the philosopher’s reflections on the subject during her stay in Cuba and Puerto Rico, which contributed to structure her idea of poetic reason.
