This article is a reading of magic realism in cinema, specifically in the film Lazzaro Felice (Alice Rohrwacher, 2018), based on María Zambrano’s work. In the first place, an attempt will be made to erect cinema as a philosophy, going beyond what tradition has established as thought. Then, we will go on to the interpretation of this film and magic realism based on Zambranian notions of piety and the relationship between being and not being.
