The concept of improvisation is used as a reasoning element by Derrida in his three cinematographic performances: GhostDance, D’ailleurs Derrida and Derrida. In each of his appearances, improvisation is approached from different perspectives and helps define the way he contributes to the making of all of those movies. Derrida’s improvisation show us, also, the extent to which he intends to use cinematography as an essential tool to make viewers participant in his ideas.
