This paper aims to study how María Zambrano’s philosophical discourse is articulated through the “active word” and opens a vital space in the text from which reality is revealed. In doing so, the concept of metaphor will be analyzed from the considerations of the philosopher herself, relating them to the notion of living metaphor from the French philosopher Paul Ricoeur.
