This article examines a series of texts by Maria Zambrano about civil war and exile, and refers to works such as La Confesión, género literario and Delirio y destino. Through them it highlights the distant position established by the author regarding the autobiographical genre. A genre that appears as problematic from both the philosophical and political points of view, despite the strong testimonial vocation of Zambrano.
