Abstract

This article investigates how, for both María Zambrano and Miguel de Unamuno, the language provided by the logic of modern rationality is insufficient to capture and apprehend existence and its problems. Both thinkers understand, in this sense, that it is the poetic word that allows a better understanding of how existence is resistant to the conceptualization with which systematic philosophy has operated, of which Zambrano and Unamuno have doubts. This article aims to delve into the defense of that word as a vehicle of a different thinking, capable of taking care of what philosophy forgot, life in its mutability.
