Make the truth of the world
The univers and the symbol in The Sacrifice of Tarkovsky

This article considers the dimension of truth, sacrifice and miracle, taking intoaccount the ontological dimension, that is, the definition of the experience of the true world. It includes an analysis of Andrei Tarkovsky’s film The Sacrifice, taking Hans-Georg Gadamer’s hermeneutics as a framework of theoretical reference. Considering the function of truth in words and approaches related to the aesthetic experience as an exercise of justification of what is true in art, observed in the work of the philosopher, superimposedshots from the filmmaker’s work are examined to interpret points of view about the truthin these images.
