Female pleasure has a special relationship with freedom. However, what freedom are we speaking of? Is it the same freedom that is at stake when clitoral pleasure is renounced? This article works on these matters, proposing that a specific meaning be given to the word freedom when it accompanies and upholds female pleasure. The text proposes first a reflection upon the concept of freedom, finding an alternative tradition to that of academic philosophy. It continues by entering into dialogue with the writings of María-Milagros Rivera Garretas, Barbara Verzini and Carla Lonzi. One of the important wagers is to think about the possibility of loving relationships, including with men, in which there is not a renunciation of pleasure, nor a renouncing of oneself, nor subterfuge or escape from oneself or the relationship.
