Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • La tramesa no ha estat publicada anteriorment, ni tampoc no s’ha enviat anteriorment a una altra revista (o s’ha proporcionat una explicació a «Comentaris a l’editor/a»).
  • El fitxer de la tramesa és en format Microsoft Word, RTF.
  • S’han proporcionat els URL per a les referències sempre que ha estat possible.
  • El text és en interlineat simple, utilitza un tipus de lletra de 12 punts i aplica cursiva en lloc de subratllat (excepte per a les adreces URL). Totes les il·lustracions, figures i taules s’han ubicat a la posició que els correspon, i no al final del text.
  • El text compleix els requisits estilístics i bibliogràfics establerts a la secció «Indicacions per als autors/es» de la pàgina «Quant a la revista».
  • Per a les trameses a seccions revisades per persones expertes, s’han seguit les instruccions de la secció «Com assegurar una revisió cega».
  • Les imatges hauran de ser enviades en format jpg o psd, a 300 punts de ressolució i una mesura màxima de 100mm x 100mm.

Author Guidelines

The magazine only accepts original unpublished works (research, testimonies, opinions and proposals) related to the history, didactics, archeology, heritage and dissemination of the Spanish Civil War and the immediate postwar period. Ebre 38 is a publication aimed at an audience preferably of university profile (faculty and students).
Articles in the History and Culture, Heritage, and Education sections must be submitted in electronic format compatible with the MS Word word processor (PC and Macintosh compatible). The double-spaced texts on A4-size folios will have a maximum length of 12,000 words (about 30 pages in Arial 12 typeface), including photographs, abstracts, notes, and bibliography.
Articles in the "Miscellaneous" section, such as opinions, reviews, columns, and news stories, should not exceed 1,200 words (4 pages) under the same conditions as in the previous section.
Table and figures must be submitted in black and white or grayscale and delivered in the margin of the text with Arabic numerals and identified. The text itself will clearly state where it should be included. Tables will also be quoted within the text in the appropriate places in parentheses, using the word "table" or "fig." Followed by the number in order of appearance in the text. Only artwork in TIFF format with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi will be accepted. in order to ensure optimal print quality.
Articles may be submitted in any language, but must include a summary written in the original language of the paper and another, of equal length, in English (except for articles in English, for which the editors will translate the summary in Catalan). The abstract should not exceed 200 words and will be accompanied by 3 to 6 keywords of the content of the work, in both languages ​​of the abstract, as well as the professional reference of the authors. For keywords, it is recommended to use concepts included in the Contemporary History of Spain Thesaurus of the CSIC Scientific Information and Documentation Center (CINDOC) and the UNESCO Trilingual Thesaurus.
Authors should include, along with their work:
- the full name

- email

- institutional and / or professional affiliation

- your postal address

7. Notes will be included at the bottom of the number in a correlated number. References to these in the text will be made by numbering in superscript source format.

8. If abbreviations are used, their meaning must be indicated in parentheses at least the first time.

9. Bibliographic references will follow the current rules, avoiding footnotes, except in strictly necessary cases such as acknowledgments, explanations, etc. The references appear within the text indicating the surname (or surnames) of the author (s), or the surname of the first author plus the expression et al., In the case of three or more authors), year of publication and, where applicable, specific page, table or figure references (separated by a colon), for example: (Thomas, 1962), (Pérez Juez, et al., 2002), (Payne, 2002: 19-20). If there is more than one publication by the same author, the author's last name and comma-separated dates should be given: (Pérez Juez, et al., 2002, 2004). If there are several publications by the same author with the same date, a lower case letter must be added to the date: (Pérez Juez, et al., 2004a, 2004b). If there were different publications by different authors, the references should be separated by semicolons: (Thomas, 1962; Pérez Juez, et al., 2002; Payne, 2002).

10. The complete list in alphabetical order of the titles that have been cited will be attached at the end of the text, following the following model:

Chapter example:

12. All original articles received will be evaluated by a committee of experts (maintaining the anonymity of the author at all times. The journal will respond to the admission of the works within a period of approximately six months from the date of receipt The selection of the articles will be made according to their quality and scientific interest.

13. In no case is the journal responsible for the opinions expressed by the authors.

14. Copyright notice: Creative Commons. The author who publishes in this journal agrees with the following terms:

- The author retains the copyright and grants the journal the right to first publish the work.

- The texts will be disseminated under the Creative Commons Attribution license, which allows the work to be shared with third parties, provided that they acknowledge its authorship, initial publication in this journal and the terms of the license.

15. The Ebre 38 magazine has an annual periodicity, without prejudice to the fact that monographic issues may be published in a complementary way.
