ctober 5, 1938 the pro-franco authorities requested to the Delegations of Public Order the complete data of executed, detained, disappeared, banished, sanctioned, destined to battalions of work and fugitive persons. The referring elaborate incomplete data to Seville are in the National Historic Archive (Madrid). We know that the data retrieval and the identification of the victims is very difficult but the analysis of this province shows significant contradictions. According to the author, the figure of victims in Seville still has to be determined. The reality is that they are very superior to the initial considerations and for the moment the new information gives us a minimum of 11.500 people murdered and not the 8.000 that had been counted up to now.
